Litigation Paralegal | Irvine, CA | $75-100k
The Litigation Paralegal will work closely with attorneys to manage all aspects of litigation matters from inception through trial. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who takes ownership of their work, enjoys solving problems, and is committed to delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist attorneys in all phases of civil and trust litigation, including case management, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation
* Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, notices, and other litigation documents
* Manage court filings in state and federal courts, including e-filing and calendaring deadlines
* Coordinate and manage document production, discovery responses, and document review
* Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and third-party vendors
* Organize and maintain case files
* Prepare deposition, mediation, and trial binders and assist with hearing and trial preparation
* Utilize technology and AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, organization, and workflow management
* Support attorneys in ensuring matters progress efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
* 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in civil litigation, trust litigation, probate litigation, or related practice areas
* Strong knowledge of California state court procedures and filing requirements; federal court experience is a plus
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, electronic court filing systems, and legal technology tools
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
* Paralegal certificate preferred but not required for candidates with substantial litigation experience
